TELEVISION- PLL gets renewed for how many seasons??

ABC Family has just renewed Pretty Little Liars for two more seasons.

This means that the show will total up to seven seasons. Although I like the idea of more Pretty Little Liars I’m worried that the show will get too whacky. At this point the mystery surrounding Ali’s death or not so much death is getting crazier and crazier. If the seventh season has been marked as its last I think it is a good plan. It means that they have an end in mind. This way they are plotting reveals and staging up to a brilliant series finale.

I think extending the seasons further could annoy fans and make them give up on the series.

Either way I love the show at the moment and I just hope that the mystery doesn’t get ridiculous and overdone like the books did.

MOVIES – Maleficent

Angelina Jolie gives good movie!! Angelina plays the classic Disney character last famously seen on the big screen in the animation classic Sleeping Beauty.
This live version gives us a different side to the character of Maleficent. From toddler to full blown bad ass witch we follow her as she gets revenge after being wronged by the man she once loved.

This is the perfect example of “two sides to every story” as we learn what propelled Maleficent into casting the devious curse on a young Aurora.
The visuals in this film were amazing especially any scene involving Maleficent flying.

This was such a dark and gruesome Disney movie. I mean Angelina basically SPOILER gets her wings cut off by some guy who hit it and quit it.

If you are a Disney, fairytale, Angelina Jolie fan this is something that should be on your list.

MUSIC- Now Playing: Black Belt by John Grant

This is such a catchy song and it hooks you in INSTANTLY!! It featured at the end of an episode of HBO’s Looking and I have been binging on Grant’s music ever since.

MOVIES- X-Men’s Movie Reboot

If you haven’t watched the new X-Men film look no further…SPOILERS

Thanks to the latest addition to the X-Men Franchise, Days of Future Past, the whole series has experienced a complete reboot.

Wolverine went into the past and due to the changes he made, we see a whole new X-Men future. The biggest change being the resurrection of fan favourite Jean Grey.

Although it is amazing that we get all our favourite characters back,  have we wasted our time by watching a bunch of films that now didn’t happen?

Time travel has been a huge aspect to the X-Men comics so it rings true to the material. However, I am putting this down to fixing some continuity issues with the series. Wolverine has metal claws, then he doesn’t. He is related to Sabretooth then he isn’t??? Professor X says he met Magneto at a different age than shown in First Class. Mystique and Professer X grew up with each other and then show none of this past in the original films??? You would think with the wealth of material to work off of it would be difficult to make continuity errors with these films.

Although the previous films are now basically defunct besides First Class. I like the fact that the future has changed and we are unaware as to why!! This can lead into retelling of stories that previous films failed on. They have really let down the character of Rogue in these films. She was such a core member of the X-Men and in the films she was shadow of what she could become.

Lets hope that the future films continue to fix the plotholes and continuity mistakes that have plagued these films. For now I am willing to forget the original films and pass it off to them being part of a parallel universe or something. Join me.
